No matter what size or shape you are, at some point in your life you are likely to face the problem of cellulite. In fact, after the age of 20 the risk of developing the skin condition increases and continues to do so year after year. However, there is something you can do about it if you are willing to make the effort.
There is no silver bullet though. Cellulite is a difficult condition and you will be required to push through with small milestones along the way. But if you persist you will be pleasantly surprised at the results.
1. Lose Weight
Cellulite is related to how much weight you carry. This is because it is the thin layer of fat that exists beneath the skin which becomes lumpy and causes the skin to dimple. By losing weight you will also lose some of the fat that causes the dimples. However, many skinny women also get cellulite because this thin layer of fat is difficult to remove completely and with age the skin and fat structures begin to breakdown. In order to lose the flab, go on a simple diet by eating the correct and right amount of foods. That is, lots of leafy vegetables, fruit and lean meat. Examine the amounts of food you eat and their fat and sugar content to ensure that you are eating less calories than you were before.
2. More Exercise
Any diet that you do should also be combined with exercise. Eating less and moving more will ensure that your results are quicker. Your body will also change to look better as a result. Make sure you don’t neglect the weights so you only do cardio. Strength training will tighten and tone your problem areas, helping the cellulite to look better as a result.
3. Get Rid of Alcohol and Caffeine
These two ingredients are well known to increase the levels of toxins in the body. It is these toxins which are thought to make the cellulite worse by increasing fluid retention and causing the breakdown of collagen in the skin. By removing these two food products from you diet you can help your body restore its natural balance and improve the look of your skin.
3. Drink More Water
It is important when you are looking at cellulite reduction to drink plenty of water. Keeping your skin hydrated ensures that it keeps its non-wrinkled appearance, stops it from thinning and stops more dimples from forming. It also helps the body to reduce the levels of toxins by flushing them from the system.
