Can You Really Run A Successful Business From Home?

Millions of other people are pondering that same thing right now. While they are sitting in rush hour traffic, they are wondering if people really do operate successful business out of their own homes instead of having to go into an office.
Obviously, there are many others who operate very successful businesses from their homes both full-time and part-time businesses. They operate them from a spare office, a corner of the bedroom, or from the kitchen table. From where ever they choose to work, as long as they have the tools that they will need in order for them to be productive, then they will probably be more productive and happier than they were working at an office.
There are a few requirements in order to successfully work from home that one must be aware of before beginning.
1. It requires someone to be self motivated. If someone can’t motivate him / herself to sit down and work then that person isn’t going to be successful.
2. It is important that someone have all of the proper tools and equipment (computer, internet, office supplies / equipment, etc) that he / she will need.
3. While I think most will find working at home to be more productive, others need the social interaction of an office. If someone can’t work without others in the room, then he / she may not be successful.
4. Another possible downside (depending upon how one looks at it), is that once someone has their work and their office in their home, they don’t do anything else. It is important to establish hard and fast “working hours”.
Above I have mentioned a few things to think about before setting up a business at home. I believe that people who work from home are happier and more productive than others who work in someone else’s office. One additional point to keep in mind is that most millionaires in this country own their businesses.
