The older you get the more likely you are to develop cellulite. It is a problem that will affect most women at some point and it is one of the more dreaded skin conditions. Luckily, there are several treatment options available to women to help reduce the condition’s appearance and perhaps stop it from becoming even worse.
There is no silver bullet though. Cellulite is a difficult condition and you will be required to push through with small milestones along the way. But if you persist you will be pleasantly surprised at the results.
1. Lose Fat
There is a strong relationship between how much fat you have and how obvious your cellulite is. The thin layer of fat under the skin is what causes cellulite and the more fat you have the more lumpy this layer is. The more lumps the more cellulite. This is why going on a diet where you eat the correct foods can have a large impact on how much cellulite you have. There is no need to go overboard. Simply, reduce the amount of sugar and fat in your diet and increase the amount of fresh fruit, vegetables and lean meat that you cosume. Make sure you control your portions by not overeating or eating when you are emotional.
2. Move More
This is related to dieting. Exercising will help you lose the fat and also tighten and tone the areas which are affected by cellulite. It is important that you do both cardio and strength training exercise to ensure that you not only lose the weight but also develop muscle tone which will aid the cellulite reduction.
3. Get Rid of Alcohol and Caffeine
These two ingredients are well known to increase the levels of toxins in the body. It is these toxins which are thought to make the cellulite worse by increasing fluid retention and causing the breakdown of collagen in the skin. By removing these two food products from you diet you can help your body restore its natural balance and improve the look of your skin.
3. More Water
Staying hydrated it is an important step when you are thinking of reducing the appearance of your cellulite. This is because water will help your body to flush out the toxins that make the condition worse. It also ensures that you skin stays firm and reduces the appearances of any dimples that you may have.
