Just as there are social conventions at a party, there are guidelines to texting.
Rule 1: Never text to dodge a real conversation
A lot of men figure that a text message is much more safe than a phone call. True, but it will not consistently lead you to your goal. And that goal is to set up a date. The chances of seeing her again raises drastically when you get her on the phone and make plans as it builds comfort and familiarity.
If you can’t talk to your potential date over the phone, there is no way you could carry a conversation in one on one.
Rule 2: Add to her day, don’t be needy
Value seeking texts can be things like, “What are you doing?” or “Can i hang with you and your friends?” This kind of texting comes off very needy, turn women off, and do not showcase your personality at all.

Rule 3: Avoid sending too many messages!
She may be the only thing on your mind, but don’t let her know that. Don’t scare the bunny away! Text once, and if she replies, you may do so. But if she hasn’t, then wait until the next day before trying again.
In addition, let some time pass before texting her back. Be non needy because in her eyes it equals sexiness and informs her you are a busy man in demand with several dating choices.
Not sure? Let her lead (just don’t let her know). When she responds to text right away, text back right away. If it takes her a half hour then you should too.
Secret Texting Tip: Use texting to familiarize your number in her phone
Right after you get her number, send a text while you’re standing next to her. It is funny in itself and double points if you send a funny message or inside joke. Give these a whirl…
“You got my number now, but please don’t call me 10 times a day :)”
“Wow! That guy you’re standing next to you is hot!”
Once she saves your number, you can be confident she is interested. But even more important, when you call later, she will have your number and caller id appear. There is even more chance for her to pick up the phone to a recognized number.
