Peel That Age Away

There are a number of chemical compounds and technologies that could be employed by your skin doctor or esthetician to even out those wrinkles, including chemical peeling. Chemical peels are classified by the depth of the effect and they are superficial or light chemical peels, medium chemical peels, and deep chemical peels. Each type of chemical peel will act to help exfoliate the dead or injured skin and gives your face a robust, beaming radiance.

Chemical peeling involves painting the skin, usually the face, with a gel or liquid acid solution that exfoliates a layer of skin. Depending on the type of acid, the strength of the solution and the resulting exfoliation can take off years from the skin, leaving one with fresh, young-looking skin. Chemical peels make a visible difference. A peel can minimize fine lines and make areas of dark pigmentation, such as freckles and so-called age spots, less noticeable. They can also get rid of shallow scars and faint acne pocks.

The different categories of the three types of chemicals peels penetrate the skin differently. The thicker the layer of chemical peel applied, more effective it is with regard to the rejuvenation of the skin.

Light chemical peeling exfoliates the outer layer of the skin. You can use it to make your skin soft and firm. The light chemical treatment also has an effect on wrinkles and skin lesions.

Medium chemical peeling helps to exfoliate the upper layer of skin to rejuvenate the skin. You can gently smooth roughened skin, remove fine wrinkles from the skin and improve the overall texture of the skin.

Deep peels penetrate more deeply than both light and medium peels and rejuvenate the lowest level of the skin. Deep peels require the use of a laser skin resurfacing or phenol. They have dramatic effects on the skin, the wrinkles, such as the horizontal forehead wrinkles, scowl lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet around the eyes and the vertical lines around the mouth. Are also effective in removing dead skin, leaving behind fresh looking skin.

Dynamic wrinkles are created by repeated facial muscle movement. They are found on the forehead, between the eyebrows, created due to squinting eyes, lips and pursing lips when smoking.

Chemical peeling is a very effective and safe method of skin rejuvenation. These peels can effectively treat acne blemishes, wrinkles, freckles, so that the patient’s skin becomes younger looking and firmer.
