Tips I Learned About Weight Loss From The Biggest Loser

March 11th, 2009. Published under Weight Loss. No Comments.

Who would have thought that a reality TV show about overweight people working out and losing weight would have been so popular? That’s just what The Biggest Loser show has done. It’s so wildly popular that there are versions of this TV show in many countries now.

Basically the show takes overweight people, put them on a ranch somewhere along with two trainers. Then during their 3 to 4 month stay, the Contestants compete for prizes and to see who can lose the most weight. Of course, they’re broken into two teams. Each trainer has their own team.

The results achieved by the people on the Ranch took the Country by storm the first few seasons. Real people were losing 70, 80 or even over 100 pounds by the end of the stay. Needless to say, the show is very popular among the overweight crowd as well as those just wanting to lose weight quickly.

I’ve watched this show since season 1 and I’ve learned a lot about proper weight loss. Not only that, I’ve stuck to a routine very similar to the one on The Biggest Loser Show and I have lost over 60 pounds, from home!

The fist tip I learned was to drink a lot of water. I didn’t know this back then, but water helps flush fat cells and toxic waste from your body plus its known to boost your metabolism. This alone will increase the numbers of calories your body burns.

tips number two that I picked up from The Biggest Loser Show was to stop eating two or three big meals a day and start eating smaller meals more often through the day to keep my metabolism fueled. This also helped me to keep from feeling groggy after huge meals. Eating smaller meals more often keeps your metabolism operating at a higher range, thus burning more calories.

Another thing that really helped me was keeping a food diary. In fact, it was probably the single most important tip I picked up watching the show. It quickly showed me where the weak areas were at concerning my diet. Once I had that under control, my weight loss became more routine with more pounds lost each week.

Many people who workout to lose weight believe that any kind of workout is good for losing weight. The Biggest Loser Show taught us that you should keep your cardio workouts going longer so your body stays in its fat burning mode longer. I also learned that working out with weights was important to build muscle.

For those of you who have refused to watch The Biggest Loser show, I’d highly suggest you check it out if you’re one of the Millions who need to lose weight. Their proven methods of losing weight is easy to follow and will get you into shape in no time at all.
